Carpenters Union Purchases Industrial Property in Carson for New Training Center
The Southwest Regional Council of Carpenters paid $46 million for a 40,000 square foot property that sits on three acres of land in Carson, CA. The Union intends to convert the property at 1010 Sandhill Avenue into an educational space that offers construction training classes to the Union's members.
The SWRCC also has a training center in nearby Whittier, CA that focuses on training women and the formerly incarcerated in bridgework, highway construction, and other infrastructure related projects.
The land was purchased from celebrity real estate developer Zach Vella and his Vella group LLC. The deal is one of the area's largest in recent months.
This is the Union's second big purchase within the last year as they bought a property at LAX last June for $75 million.
