Once Completed, Astra Tower Will Be Utah's Tallest
Salt Lake City-based general contractor, Jacobsen Construction Co. and Boston-based developer Kensington Investment Co. (KIC) began construction in January on what will be the tallest building in the State of Utah. Astra Tower will stand 450 feet tall and will contain 372 apartment units over 40 stories. There will be ground floor retail space, private parking, and 40,000 feet of amenity space.
"Astra Tower will show what Salt Lake City is going to become in the future," KIC CEO Ed Lewis said during the groundbreaking. "This building will be remarkable for much more than its height. Its completion will set a new benchmark for upscale downtown living."
The luxury high rise apartment building is expected to open in 2024.
